This warning is still in force due to river levels remaining high throughout today (15/11/2019). No further significant rainfall is expected over today and tomorrow (16/11/2019) and levels will fall, however there is potential for a heavier band of rain to move across South Yorkshire on Sunday (17/11/2019).
We are monitoring this situation closely and we continue to support the coordinated multi‐agency response, with our incident room open 24/7.
A team of our officers have been on site in Fishlake this morning, alongside partner organisations, to speak to those affected by the recent flooding, and we continue pumping operations in the wider area.

A band of rain has now moved across South Yorkshire and scattered showers are forecast overnight tonight moving into the morning of Friday 15th November. River levels in the Lower Don are currently rising in response to this rain and are forecast to peak at around 9am on the 15th of November. River levels are expected to peak much lower than those seen on the 7th and 8th of November and are not currently forecast to result in further overtopping of river banks and defences. Given the wet ground conditions, we expect the River Don and its main inflows to rise later today and into 15 November although levels are not currently forecast to result in further overtopping of rivers banks and defences. Looking ahead we are expecting a band of rain to move across South Yorkshire from approximately 22:00 on Thursday, 14/11/19, to the early hours of 15/11/19. Given the wet ground conditions, we expect local rivers to respond, however forecast rainfall is not expected to reach similar totals to those seen on the 7th and 8th of November.
